Cincinnati Showcase In Search of Next Big Star

I’m A Star 2k10 Auditions Launches in Cincinnati to Find It’s Next Undiscovered Star

Oct. 27, 2009 – “I’m A Star 2K10” kicks off its 10-city talent showcase tour at the Jarson-Kaplan Theatre, inside of Cincinnati's Aronoff Center for the Arts located at 650 Walnut Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, November 14th, 2009 from 11am to 2pm. This event will be the very first destination for auditions to cast the National I'm A Star 2K10 Talent Showcase & Tour. During that time artist may also audition for a performance opportunity for the 2010 Cincinnati Urban Music Awards and Honors.

Local and regional entertainers will come to show a special selection panel that they are America's next “Star”. Auditions are open to all ages, some artist are expected to come from as far north as Chicago, IL and as far south as Atlanta, GA to audition. The finalists chosen in the audition will go on to compete at a later date, where a select few will be chosen to go on to the national “I’m A Star 2K10” competition and compete against other contestants from across the country in front of other music industry veterans and executives.

“I’m A Star 2K10” Talent Showcase has all of Cincinnati and the Midwest buzzing” says Al Chang, a local based entrepreneur and event founder. “This talent showcase differs from any other of its kind because artists are encouraged to perform their own original music by participating in the Song and Performance Challenge, or participants can enter the Producer Production Battle, or the General Showcase for all other forms of entertainment such as: dance and spoken word.

Cincinnati is known for having a historic music scene and entertainment presence in the entertainment industry however; there is still a lack of exposure for up and coming talent here in the tri-state and in the Midwest region. It has always been my goal through all of my local showcases and events to assist artist with obtaining the proper exposure needed to market their talent. This will be a great event for the city and someone may have the star power to catch the eye of a music executive or company.”
